To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.
Relationships help us to grow and become the best versions of ourselves. A marriage is a beautiful thing. On a wedding day two people are vowing to there for each other through the thick and thin. I believe in marriage. My clients are the ones that are excited about starting their lives together. Generous people who open their lives to me to capture their day.
It’s no small thing! I feel so privileged to capture the moments of pure joy as a marriage is established. You should have images that capture all the teary eyes, gentle hand squeezes and the biggest smiles. I want to be a helpful, calm yet excited presence on your day. You will almost always catch me with a smile on my face behind the camera. I can’t wait to hear from you and capture all the joy.
HELLO I’M DANI
the photographer behind Koa Photography. When I’m not taking photos I love working in my garden and spending time with my friends, family and my dogs. I have lived in Cape Town my whole life and I absolutely love this city.
I have always loved looking through photographs. I am grateful for grandparents and my own parents who invested in photography. I treasure those images.
I count it such a huge blessing to capture some of the most special moments in my clients lives. Moments that one day their children and grand children will cherish. It fills me with so much joy.
I love a good coffee, you will find me trying out one of Cape Town’s new spots or with a Seattle take away in hand (in my keep cup of course).
I love gardening! Picking your own flowers from the garden is a unique kind of special. At the moment I am growing poppies and sweet peas!
If you enjoy a good pun and a lame dad joke we will get along well! There is also a high chance I might break into song if you say something that reminds me of a song.
I am attempting to live my life as zero waste as possible. If you have any tips let me know.
